Our vision is to create a space where everyone is welcome in hopes that all will come to know Jesus. Whether that’s at a Sunday morning worship service, a midweek service, or a special event, our goal is to make room for you. Our hope is however you find us, this is only the beginning of your journey.
Weekly Worship
Sunday worship services are the primary way we gather as a church to worship together, learn the Scriptures, pray for one another, and create space for the Holy Spirit. It is in these moments together that we collectively embody Jesus and His kingdom.
Momentum
In addition to our Sunday services, our student ministry, Momentum, gathers every Wednesday evening during the school year and for special events during the summer
Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery (CR) is a Christ-centered ministry that gives people the resources and relationships to help find a new way of living. This ministry is for anyone struggling with past or current hurts, habits, or hang-ups, whether they are affecting their own life or the lives of those around them. CR is available every Thursday evening beginning with a meal and worship.
Registration is not required, but appreciated. Feel free to show up to any or all of the weeks to participate.
Changed Life
With your decision to accept Christ as your Savior, you have been forever Changed. The old is gone and the new is here. You are a new creation. Changed Life consists of four courses designed to spur on spiritual growth in your life focused on what being a disciple of Jesus looks like.
Topics include Jesus and Me, Christ-Centered Relationships, The Pursuit Discipleship Model, and Living in the World. Changed Life sessions take place every week (unless otherwise stated) during our 10:00 Sunday service in the Lounge. During each session, attendees will be provided with learning materials, be provided with applied learning opportunities, and invited into participating in devotionals.
Baptism
If you are a follower of Jesus and have yet to enter the waters of baptism, we encourage you to take that step. Invite us into your story for an opportunity to talk through the new identity, new family, and new mission that you now have in Jesus. You can express your desire to be baptized at any time with baptisms taking place usually every month.
Alpha
Do you have questions and doubts about Jesus and the church? Alpha is a learning opportunity with open and informal conversation about life, spirituality, and the person of Jesus without judgment or pressure. We would love to hear your thoughts and questions in a safe environment as we explore these themes together without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations. Alpha at The Pursuit is offered in a larger cohort setting as well as smaller cohorts as requests allow.
It can be easy to blend into the crowd at church and that is why getting connected into community is so important. We need a more intimate environment where we can grow relationally and spiritually.
Community Groups
Community Groups are the lifeblood of our church. We eat together, pray for one another, and share life together. It is in these ordinary rhythms of life that we become more like Jesus. The Pursuit has a wide variety of Community Groups aimed at connecting people in similar seasons of life. As we live and work in proximity to each other, we are able to partner in the mission of God to see his Kingdom come to Minot as it is in heaven.
Special Events
The Pursuit is an active community of faith seeking multiple opportunities for you to connect with others all in the name of connecting with Jesus. Visit our Events page as a part of your regular routine to stay attune with the various conferences, worship nights, prayer events, and more happening at The Pursuit.
Pursuit 101
Pursuit 101 introduces you to The Pursuit story, what we believe, and our regular rhythms of life as a church family. It’s an opportunity to connect with staff members and people of the church. We would love to meet you and help you find meaningful relationships at The Pursuit. Look forward to this course event each month. Registration is not required, but it is greatly appreciated.
We don’t go to church, we are the church! As followers of Jesus, we seek to live out the command to love one another. The local church is God’s plan to reveal his mercy, compassion and truth to people around the world.
Outreach
We seek to spread the love of Jesus to others in our everyday walk as well as leveraging several key moments throughout the year. City Serve ND is an opportunity for churches throughout the state to unite our efforts to serve people and organizations in and around our cities. Day of Hope brings together organizational partners to serve the forgotten, stuck, lost, and hopeless to meet their tangible needs.
Serve
As the people of Jesus, we believe we are called to serve one another and serve our city. Through sacrificial love to others we are actively participating in the Kingdom of God. By serving you put aside your own personal preferences and comforts to reach out and connect with other people. God's desire is not for us to stand on the sidelines of His Kingdom, but be active participants in it. There is always room for one more on our team!
Give
We believe the top competitor for our devotion to Jesus is money (Matthew 6:24). Giving allows us to demonstrate that He is more important to us than material things. Christ was the ultimate example of loving people radically. He went above and beyond with his generosity. Let's be radically generous with the time, talents, and treasures He has given us.
